  • Visa-With the exception of nationals from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), all visitors to Armenia must hold a valid passport and entry visa. Passports and passport replacing documents must be valid at all times regardless of visa status.  Single or multiple entry visas can be obtained from any Armenian diplomatic mission overseas or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately upon arrival in the country. Visitors may apply for either a business, diplomatic, ordinary or tourist visa. Visa applications normally require a letter of invitation from a sponsoring body inside the country. Applications without a letter of invitation may be granted for a period up to 21 days, while those with an invitation may be granted for a period of duration required. Transit visas are issued for a maximum of three days. Double and multiple entry transit visas are also available and are granted for a period up to one year. Fees for visas range from US$ 30- US$ 70 depending on the category. Nationals and alien residents of Armenia are required to hold an exit permit when leaving the country. Governmental Exit Duty is levied on all passengers embarking in Armenia for destinations abroad (AMD 10.000). Place of payment-airport of departure.

  •  Luggage-Citizens of foreign countries are allowed to carry the following items into or out of RA territory free of customs duties: 

    1.  goods accompanying personal luggage, the customs duty tariff for import of which is 0%, the total weight of which does not exceed 50 kg., and the total customs value is not more than 500 US dollars.

    2.       goods conveyed through international transfers (parcels) the total weight of which does not exceed 20 kg, and the total customs value of which is not more than 100 US dollars.

  • Museums- work from 10:00-17:00  They have their special guides in different languages
  • Shops-There are numerous supermarkets and food shops that work all the day long, but other shops work from 9:00-19:00 Here are many Persian shops as well.

  • Safety-This is very safety country. You can walk late at night without any problem, but in any case  be a little careful.
